Photo Purchases

I decided to put up this page as a simple reminder / primer for those of you who are considering purchasing or have already purchased some of my work.  I will take this moment to thank you in advance for you support!

Prints:  My vendor uses MPIX as the printer.  MPIX does absolutely killer work and I guarantee that you will be more than happy with the end result when it lands at your door.  The quality of print that they deliver is unrivaled and the packaging for shipping is also fantastic.  Caveats to be aware of with prints - you buy a single print - you pay $8.00 or whatever it is for shipping.  You buy 100 prints - you still pay the same $8.00 for shipping.  Lesson - if buying prints - get some folks together and buy multiple prints to beat the shipping charges.  Lastly - you buy a print - you get a print.  No more, no less.  It will be a beautiful print - but it will be the only one (unless of course you ordered multiples...  )

Digital Downloads (File Purchases):  This is hands down the best bang for the buck.  You get a high resolution file that you essentially "own" that you can then take to Sam's Club, Walmart, CVS, Eckards, Costco, etc ....  and get printed as many times, in as many different sizes that you want.  Caveat - not as convenient as the print being delivered right to your door and actual print quality may vary from place to place.  ( hint - locally anyway - Sam's Club in Vestal does a surprisingly nice job for very reasonable prices )

The digital download does NOT grant you an exclusive license to do whatever you want with the file(s) though.  It is in fact licensed to you to use for personal use only.  Translation:  You can make as many prints of it as you want, you can make prints for Grandma and Grandpa.  You can even use it for social media (facebook, twitter, etc ....  ) and e-mail.  If a commercial entity (magazine, newspaper, racing organization - GNCC, AMA, etc...  )  discovers you as an athlete, or just someone who is really cool and they want to interview you - thats all fine and dandy.  Interview away.  If they ask you to provide them with a photo of you and the one that you feel would work the best is one that was obtained via me - you will be obligated to direct them to me for licensing rights.  The full license is below:
